myPTI Version 4

Your all-in-one software for printing, managing, and sharing PTI compliant labels and ASN data.

myPTI stays current on all PTI compliance. ASNs (Advanced Shipment Notices) are becoming a common requirement for all major retail chains. myPTI automatically creates ASN manifests for you and allows you to easily export the data for delivery to a customer, or the ASN data can be directly accessed if you are packing another company's product.

Manage Brand Owners

Use this feature to add any brand owners of packaging that you use. Each Brand Owner has a unique GS1 Company Prefix that gets incorporated into the pallet tag SSCC serial number for traceability purposes. Brand Owners can be created by each user, or automatically imported when connecting to another company's product list(s).

Manage Brands

Use this feature to add any brands of packaging that you use. Each Brand is linked to a brand owner and is used to filter your product list by brand to more easily find the product you want to create labels for.

Settings

The Settings page contains your company's information that is used on some of the different PTI label templates. From here, you can choose to share your product list with other companies, and also set a password for that product list so only verified users can access your products. You can also choose to accept ASN Data from other companies that are packing product using your brands. You can also create and manage additional users for your myPTI account.

The User Settings section allows you to select a default printer for your case and pallet tags and print test labels to assure proper connection with your printers. It is ideal to have two separate label printers — one for case labels and one for pallet tags — however, just one printer will work. You also set your default printer brands, DPI, and template so you don't have to select these every time you want to print labels. There are also options to use a Harvest date instead of a pack date, rotate the case labels vertically, and add your company logo used on the custom BOL if you decide to use that option.

Product Lists

The Product Lists tab allows you to connect to other companies' product lists that you pack product for.

If you decide to share your company's product list, it will show up here in the drop-down list and anybody that you share your password with will be able to access your products.

If you are packing for another company or sales organization and their product list is not incorporated into myPTI, feel free to have that company send an email to myPTI and we can get their product list uploaded.

Order Itinerary

From the main UI, you can pre-enter all of the products that you need to pack for your order without having to print the labels right away. Many of the templates and the Shipping BOL option use or require this info.

The following options are also available for each product once it's added to an order itinerary: print just the case labels, print just the pallet tags, print both simultaneously, delete the product from the itinerary, or manage labels (reprint, delete, etc.).

  • Order Number
  • Shipping Destination
  • Customer PO
  • Who you are packing the product for
  • Pack Date
  • Ship Date
  • Lot Code
  • UPC / PLU
  • Label Quantities Needed
  • Templates to Use

Manage Lot Codes

myPTI allows you to enter and manage all of your lot codes so they can be easily selected from a drop-down at the time of itinerary creation. You can also set a default lot code for each variety of product that automatically gets selected.

Shipping

The shipping form automatically creates a BOL with your company logo (optional) from each of the order itineraries created. You can view or print these BOLs anytime you need.

  • Order Number
  • Customer
  • Customer PO
  • Shipping Destination
  • Ship Date
  • Carrier
  • Reefer Temperature
  • Pallets (In & Out)
  • Trailer #
  • Seal #
  • Driver's Name
  • Trailer Checks (Cleanliness, In Good Repair, Pre Chilled)
  • Notes
  • Company Logo (custom size and position)

ASN Data (Advanced Shipment Notice)

All ASN customer produce shipments now require the packer or the sales organization to send an ASN (Advanced Shipment Notice) manifest to the customer prior to the order being delivered at a Distribution Center. Each ASN manifest contains the pallet tag information and serial number data of each pallet. ASN customers use this information and compare it to the actual pallet tag data on the truck at arrival to assure that no tampering was done to the load during delivery.

If you are a sales organization, or just have other companies packing product under your brand, and you need to send ASN manifests to Walmart, each packer can upload their ASN Data to you for processing.

Manage Labels

Once case labels and pallet tags are printed, you can manage them. The different types of things to manage include:

  • Change the Pack Date
  • Change the Ship Date
  • Reprint case labels
  • Reprint pallet tags
  • Remove a pallet from the itinerary

Pack Sequence

The Pack Sequence form allows you to view all the product orders for a specific day on one screen. Products can be sorted by product name or by order number. This is specifically useful for packing managers to see what needs to be packed for the day. Once a specific product has been packed, a manager can mark that product as Packed. The shipping department can also mark products as Shipped — so office staff can see what has already been packed and shipped, and what is still needed.
